McCoy Architecture is an architecture firm located in Sausalito & Sonoma California, specializing in custom residential and commercial designs. Our principle Architect, John McCoy, has over 20 years of experience in building long-lasting relationships and creating beautiful designs in Marin County. At McCoy Architecture, we are committed to providing our clients with personalized service and tailored solutions that meet their unique needs and exceed their expectations.

McCoy Architecture is founded in the idea that the human element is the key element in successful architecture.  Each project is as unique as each client. As a community will respond to architecture; architecture should respond to its community.  Acknowledging the human element, whether an individual or community or a society, allows architecture to embody the fundamental idea that nothing defines architecture more than the inhabitants themselves.  

 

Our measure of success is in creating architecture that not only meets our client's functional goals but also in creating architecture that continues to acknowledge and inspire.

When John's not in the office, you can find John rock climbing in Yosemite or playing a new guitar song he’s written for his girls. Jennifer and John began working together 15 years ago and later chose each other as partners in the most meaningful project of their live raising their two daughters.

Recently, they moved to Sonoma, where they are enjoying the slower pace of the countryside, their backyard labyrinth, and their new office just a five-minute walk from where they live. Their life and work are deeply intertwined, grounded in creativity, family, and a shared passion for thoughtful design.
